Pattern Instructions

Front Panel

  1. Foundation Chain:
    • With 5 mm hook, ch 84 (must be even).

  2. Row 1:
    • Skip last ch, sc in next ch, ch 1, skip 1 ch, sc in next ch; repeat to end.
  3. Row 2:
    • Ch 1, turn. Sc in sc, ch 1, skip ch-1 space; repeat across, end with sc.
  4. Repeat Row 2 for each row until the desired length for the body is reached.

  • Place markers at the 33rd stitch from both sides.
  • Work across to marker (33 sc), ch 1, turn, work across for shoulder.

  • Repeat this decrease 3 times, then work straight (no decreases) for remaining rows.
  • Fasten off.
  • For opposite side, rejoin yarn at marker, ch 3, skip 1 loop, sc in next loop, ch 1, turn, and follow similar decrease/straight instructions as for first shoulder.

Back Panel

  • Work as for front panel without any neckline or shoulder shaping (no increases or decreases).

Neck Ribbing

  1. Ch 6.
  2. Sc in 5 chs, working in BL only.

  4. Sew or slip stitch ribbing ends to join.

Assembly

  1. Sew panels together at shoulders and sides using yarn needle and mattress seam or preferred seaming technique.

  3. Sew neck ribbing in place.
